Optimising Adsorptive Stripping Voltammetry: Strategies and Limitations

The widely employed electroanalytical technique of adsorptive stripping voltammetry (AdsSV) is critically assessed and evaluated at a wide diverse range unmodified nano-particle modified carbon electrodes using the analyte fipronil as paradigmatic case. generic performances are investigated compared with revealing similar LOD values pointing to intrinsic limitations AdsSV arising from non-independence Faradaic capacitive signals during step. Methods for facilitating adsorption or different waveforms that may offer more favourable limit detection (LOD) suggested assessed, specifically use onto particles prior their modifying also recently introduced method semi-circular voltammetry.
